Simplifyance™ offers a service compliance assessment in which our consultants conduct an evaluation of your organization’s current compliance with Joint Commission or CARF accreditation standards, including:  

• Review of program materials including policies, procedures, plans, processes, forms, and employee and client manuals  

• Review of a sample set of client/patient medical records to evaluate current compliance  

• Review of a sample set of HR files to evaluate compliance   

• Review of the organization’s Environment of Care and Emergency Management processes and procedures   

​ Once the compliance assessment is complete, Simplifyance™ will provide your organization with a work plan, a report of the results of the assessment, and any materials needed to resolve any compliance gaps prior to your Joint Commission or CARF survey.  

The Joint Commission’s standards of compliance are extensive and complex. For a Behavioral Healthcare Organization to earn the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, they must demonstrate operational excellence in several areas, to ultimatley hold your organization to a higher level of quality and safety.

We work with your leadership team to customize a detailed plan that fully prepares your organization for the Joint Commission’s initial or reaccreditation survey.  We assist in the creation of required policies and procedures, provide survey preparation consultation, provide support during the survey, and assist with post-survey requirements, including submission of the Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC).

Behavioral Healthcare organizations seeking to obtain CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation must demonstrate compliance with the regulatory standards. CARF standards are extensive and complex, but will ultimately hold your organization to a higher level of quality and safety.

To obtain state licensure, organizations must develop and represent detailed policies and procedures outlining how they will operate each department. State-approved policies and procedures must cover areas from human resources management to policies and procedures describing the specific modality of clinical care provided.

Simplifyance™ works with your leadership team to customize a detailed plan that will give you the necessary amount of confidence to apply for and earn a state license. Our process begins with an assessment that will identify the exact steps your organization must take to meet the state’s criteria for licensure. Drawing from years of experience, Simplifyance™ can support your organization in developing policies and procedures to meet state-specific regulations, develop human resources materials for the staff of the facility, provide onsite or virtual support during licensing visit, and correct any findings and submit evidence of current compliance to receive full licensure. 

The American Society of Addiction Medicine and CARF International have partnered to create a new certification for substance abuse treatment centers called the ASAM Level of Care certification. The certification has been established to combat the addiction crisis by helping organizations most effectively use evidence-based methods developed by ASAM.   Stakeholders in the behavioral healthcare industry have determined that this increased level of commitment to person-centered treatment will benefit those receiving services and those providing them directly. 

What We Do  

Simplifyance recognizes the importance of earning the ASAM Level of Care certification for treatment centers: to improve upon the person-centered quality of care and increase the amount of financial reimbursement. We offer consultation services, including but not limited to, creation of policies and procedures, survey-readiness assessment, staff trainings, and post-survey follow-up and support.

A monthly billed, white glove, all-inclusive, out-of-the-box compliance solution.  Simplifyance ™  acts as the organization’s compliance department. Your organization may define the Scope of Work for compliance activities from a variety of services including, but not limited to:

• Incident management and oversight, support and/or management of incident investigation, mitigation, corrective action planning; analysis and reporting of risk trends. 

• Management of critical incident reporting to external regulatory bodies, investigation and follow-up   
  

• Oversight and management of the organization’s performance improvement initiatives 

• Oversight of the organization’s operational plans 
  

• Oversight and updates to the Infection Prevention and Control Plan 

• Develop educational materials to train and education staff on organization policies and procedures 

• Facilitation of the organization’s Policy and Procedure Committee 

• Content management for compliance training for all staff

• Implement and monitor corrective action plans to close identified regulatory compliance gaps  
  

• Research and advise on regulatory and compliance requirements in new jurisdictions

• Monitor the regulatory and legal environment for changes which affect compliance obligations
